Take, for instance, the rich timbre of Michael Chioldi, the baritone acclaimed for his powerful voice and magnetic stage presence who has enchanted audiences worldwide. This week in Charleston, the emotive vocalist will perform some of his favorite songs and arias, all featuring Wojciech Milewski on piano. It’s certain to stir the soul and soothe your mortal coil.

The Lowcountry converges local talent and stellar settings like no other place, particularly when Spring sets in. Staring this week, join North Charleston Pops! for its a free concert series at Riverfront Park on select Tuesdays through June 17. The joy kicks off Tues., April 1, when the magnetic Zandrina Dunning takes the stage. At every concert, enjoy incredible local talent set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Cooper River. Bring your lawn chairs and picnic blankets.
