Next-level your collage skills at HART Jewelry
HART, 650 King St., downtown Charleston, Tues., Sept. 17, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Those seeking to explore their own creative side will have the opportunity to take a class with the renowned collage artist Louisa Dunn at HART Jewelry. Dunn will teach the basics of collage-making, while also delving into how to seal a precious memory in a personal locket. Participants are encouraged to bring their own items from home to integrate into their collage, any and all postcards, ticket stubs or stickers are welcome. All tickets come with a special hand-stitched appliqué HART jewelry bag created by Dunn, with a $25 gift card inside as well as a cord. A special service that will print a small photo for your locket will also be available to purchase. Wine will be provided for those over 21, along with materials to create your own personal collage.

Listen up for Charleston Symphony’s first Masterworks of the season

Symphony season has once again begun its crescendo, with regular Masterworks and pops concerts throughout the rest of the year. Join CSO Concertmaster and Artistic Director Yuriy Bekker, along with the symphony’s Principal Oboe Kelly Mozeik, as they take listeners on a journey through the greats of classical music. Pieces from Mozart, Rossini, Tchaikovsky and Chevalier de Saint-Georges are on the opening program.

Make time to brine at Pickle Palooza
The foot of the Arther Ravenel Jr. Bridge, Ferry Wharf Rd., Mt. Pleasant, Sat., Sept. 21, 1 - 7 p.m.
Pickle lovers of all kinds are invited to Pickle Palooza, a daylong celebration of all the possible iterations for the snack. Events involving pickle-eating contests, pickleball, pickle popsicles and even pickle gladiators at this first-of-its-kind festival in Charleston. Live music is set throughout the day, along with beer and spirits for sale, and plenty of pickle-themed photo opportunities under the scenic Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge. Event-goers also should be sure not to miss the ridiculous pickle-themed dishes to eat, from pickle pizza to pickle ice cream, there will certainly be something for everyone.

Bonus: Hop onto the final weekend of ‘Fiddler on the Roof’

At Charleston Stage, the Tony Award-winning Fiddler on the Roof gets a vibrant new production directed by Charleston Stage Artistic Director Marybeth Clark. Journey to the village of Anatevka, where a poor milkman named Tevye seeks to wed his three of his daughters, while navigating the complexities of sustaining religious traditions amid drastic cultural changes and political upheaval in his vibrant Jewish community. The Broadway hit features an unforgettable score that includes celebrated numbers including “Sunrise, Sunset,” “If I Were a Rich Man” and “Matchmaker, Matchmaker.”
